Sell Ideas |
| Q |
Does IdeaConnection.com and its owner, Online Data Services Ltd., protect my ideas for sale in any way? |
| A |
No we don't. This is your responsibility. Please read our Terms of Service.
|
| Q |
Why has my idea not been posted? |
| A |
Most ideas reviewed within a couple of hours. With heavy traffic it may take a few days. Some of the reasons ideas are not accepted are: the idea is not clear - not well articulated; it is too similar to a patented idea; price or royalty is too unrealistic. Please Google your ideas or inventions before posting.
|
| Q |
Can I post many ideas at once? |
| A |
The best way to do so is to post one, then when accepted, enter your members area and post the rest individually. Your contact info, etc. will then be automatically entered for each idea submitted.

Problem Solvers |
| Q |
How can I browse the list of problems in need of solving? |
| A |
Can't be done. You need to be invited in to solve a problem - that's why it's so important that your Problem Solver profile be complete and detailed! In many cases, after you have been invited to solve a problem, you will be asked to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement before you see all the details of the problem. This is because a problem may be part of a larger innovation endeavor that is very confidential.
|
| Q |
How do I make money when helping someone solve a problem? |
| A |
The total amount of money to be made is posted beside the problem. When the Solution Seeker says that a problem is solved, he gives us permission to release the money he has deposited with us. The money is divided up evenly among the Problem Solvers that were accepted to participate in solving the problem. You will know how many. Could be one person or more.
|
| Q |
How would you pay for solutions? How much do we get? |
| A |
We mail a check after the Solution Seeker accepts the solution. We have the money from the Solution Seeker company before you are invited. We keep 15% and divide the balance equally between the problem solvers.
Example: $10,000 posted to solve the problem.
4 Solvers accepted.
We keep $1,500.
You receive $8,500 divided by 4 = $2,125.
|
| Q |
What if I am asked directly to help someone solve a problem? |
| A |
If you choose to work independently with someone you have met at IdeaConnection, then IdeaConnection is not involved in the transaction in any way.
|
| Q |
How does your rating system work? |
| A |
There is a rating system available to both Problem Solvers and Solution Seekers. Each person gets one vote at the completion of a project.
|
| Q |
Can I choose to remain anonymous? |
| A |
Some thoughts: We have to write the check(s) to someone or some company. In many cases companies want a non-disclosure agreement signed, so you would have to disclose your identity. As is, companies do not see your name until after you have agreed to work on their problem.

|
| Q |
Can I hire a Problem Solver that is working on one of my Problems? |
