Sewing machine mechanical idea & outdoor light covers for sport(s) lighting systems

Problem this idea/invention addresses:
I am looking at developing a new mechanical process for the sewing machine where the bobbin is located. There is a better way of threading the sewing machine, and the mechanics of it. The other is to create lighting covers for outdoor lighting on tennis courts, baseball diamonds to reduce the glare when playing the sport(s). I play tennis and find it annoying trying to follow the ball when there is a major glare coming from the lights. I am sure this is a problems for MLB players playing baseball.

Description of idea/invention:
I want to create a better mechanical process for threading the sewing machine and the mechanics of the machine where the bobbin is located. The other idea is to create lighting covers to reduce the glare on lighting systems when playing tennis or baseball. These would be installed on the front of the lights in local courts, fields, professional tennis courts, and MLB baseball diamonds.

Use of funds:
At this point I am just looking for small capital for research and development. For the light covers I plan to contact manufacturers of plastic to see if they have the type of material that would be good for the lights to reduce the glare. My brother has machinery in his basement that he uses to make printing presses; I could see if any of the tools he uses could help to create prototypes for the light covers.

For the sewing machine components I would like to go into a second hand store and get a used personal sewing machine and an industrial sewing machine to determine the mechanics, etc. and work with industrial design students to help figure out how to change the process. I have some ideas but would need other people to assist me. The capital would be for materials, tools, patenting the concepts/product and developing the new mechanical process for the sewing machine and the light cover. I could go to the college and see if any of the design students would be interested in this project. If all goes according to plan hopefully we could have our facility up and running to start production by the summer. After the research and development, capital would be needed for equipment, facility space, etc. Our company might start off small and hopefully grow to be a leading manufacturer of sewing machines, and lighting covers for outdoor sports lighting systems.
