My work and passion for practicing innovation stems from a love of science, technology, creativity, and learning. The fusion between lofty visions of grandeur and practical reality is where I like to play.

My name is Emily Riley and I am a lead Innovation Practitioner who works on really tough challenges by leveraging the power of global knowledge in order to diverge creatively and hover in the ‘problem space’ long enough to truly unravel the core of the problem. It’s a tough place to hang out, it can be uncomfortable for many, and it takes practice. Often, we move quickly to the solution space without even knowing it. I’ve got nothing against solution ideas, but if we don’t play in the problem space and infuse it with diverse thinking its quite likely that we will pursue an initial hypothesis to no avail.
