New Ocular Imaging Technology allows Early Disease Detection

Breakthrough:
This new technology allows eye care professionals to see deeper layers of the eye using multi-spectral imaging for early detection of glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetes.

The Story:
New Ocular Imaging Technology allows Early Disease DetectionMillions of people are affected by blindness caused by diabetes, macular degeneration and glaucoma.

A new technology involving multi-spectral imaging will now allow ophthalmologists and optometrists to detect ocular changes much earlier, which may help to prevent or slow vision loss.

ANNIDIS RHA™ uses a unique application of low intensity colored LEDs that allows viewing deeper retinal layers and permits metabolic mapping.

"The technology inside the RHA™ presents a leap in ocular imaging. It allows doctors to see clear views of the critical deeper layers of the retina, which is not possible using conventional fundus imaging or by visual clinical inspection", commented Nick Ribaric, CEO and founder of Annidis Health Systems.

Ocular data is collected using a sequence of short light flashes sent into the eye, and results in high resolution spectral images and data maps via the RHA™ Report.

The RHA™ Report is a software application developed through a collaborative effort including Annidis, and leading optometrists and opthalmologists in Ontario and Quebec.
