I have never patent protected any of my inventions or intellectual properties due to cost and time considerations as well as having limited markets as they were custom made devices, but I have devised my own remote controlled door openers, ceiling mounted patient lifts, ambulance access extended track lifts, numerous power wheelchair accessories and bath access lifts. I have also invented a vertical axis, multi-vane wind turbine that itself contains a high efficiency dyno/generator that can be made cheaply to any scale. It is the solution to low cost wind energy.
Though I have worked on various inventions with constituents, I have never sought credit other than reimbursement for my time. I have only recently begun to educate myself regarding the patent process, as patent attorneys and fees were always beyond my time.
