3D-Printed Adaptive Aids Give Arthritis Patients a Hand

3D-Printed Adaptive Aids Give Arthritis Patients a Hand
Dec-14-18
Innovative 3D-printed adaptive aids could make it easier for arthritis patients to perform different tasks on their own.

The devices were created by a team at Michigan Technological University with an eye towards facilitating some of daily tasks made difficult by arthritis. To that end, the selection of 3D-printed aids includes items like cell phone holders, knife guides and sock pullers—all of which can be personalized and manufactured at a fraction of the cost of current options.
