The 94Fifty practice basketball is equipped with an array of sensors to provide specific feedback to players to help them perfect their game.
Sensors inside the 94Fifty measure aspects of play such as the speed of a dribble or the quality and release of a backspin. The information is communicated via Bluetooth to a smartphone app that focuses on four different areas: Workout, QuickTraining, Compete and Challenge, which lets players interact with each other around the world. Although loaded with sensors, the ball is regulation size, and can be charged wirelessly with a Qi charging pad.
The ball’s makers are now seeking funding on Kickstarter.
