Besides laundry-washing and lawn-sprinkling, the daily washing of hair uses up a lot of water. L’Oréal's new Water Saver system is designed to help, by reportedly reducing the amount of water used in hair-washing by up to 80 percent. In a nutshell, this involves angling two contained water streams diagonally downward toward one another, so that the droplets from the two streams collide at a central meeting point. As a result, the colliding droplets are blasted apart into much smaller droplets – about one tenth the original size – which proceed out of the system's nozzle at a high velocity.

Created by Munich-based product designer Lukas Heintschel, the Neozoon consists of an aerospace-grade aluminum body that houses the electronics, a 3D-printed polyamide handle, and a translucent medical-grade silicone suction cup. To use it, you pretty much just stick it to a flat, smooth surface, then press its power button to turn it on. Its LEDs put out a combined 180 lumens at the maximum output level, in a warm color temperature of 2,500 degrees Kelvin. At that level, its 2,400-mAh/3.7V lithium-polymer battery should provide about six hours of lighting per three-hour USB charge. That said, users can dim it to a lower output simply by holding their finger on the power button. At its lowest intensity, it should run for approximately 12 hours per charge.

Vita Neo was designed and built to create space in the kitchen by merging the kitchen sink and dishwasher. The countertop sink features a stainless steel finish that mimics the jet-black, reflective nature of classic induction stovetops. When inactive, Vita Neo’s surface is continuous and discreet, creating more counter space when cooking or preparing the kitchen. Whenever users choose to activate the dishwasher, a sensor-operated LED display screen brightens up to reveal the different functions of Vita Neo, including vegetable and crustacean-washing along with dishwashing. Built with what appears as a soft-close lid, Vita Neo enacts the use of embedded swing hinges and cushioned, suctioned lining to open and close.

COFFEEJACK comes from the folks at Hribarcain, famed for their great work in the EDC department. Now, they’ve set out to shrink the coffee machine to a form factor so small, you might as well carry it around everywhere you go along with the rest of your belongings. The COFFEEJACK works with any coffee-grind, enabling you to have your favorite espresso anywhere you go, while also reducing your dependence on those earth-polluting Nespresso and Keurig pods. Just add your coffee grind to the lower chamber and COFFEEJACK’s in-built tamper will level the grounds and pack them tightly. Open out the pump and pour hot water into the upper chamber and you’re ready to go! The espresso maker’s manual pump matches the high-pressure output of most coffee machines, giving you an espresso that is as deliciously thick and even has that layer of flavor-packed crema on top, just like the one your barista makes with professional equipment.

The Paper Razor, as its name suggests, comes with an all-paper body and sports a metal blade-head on top. Designed to be flat-packed, the single-use razor comes completely unfolded and can easily be put together in a matter of seconds by merely folding in the sides and the top to create a rigid, ergonomic razor with a grippy handle. Its origami-inspired design gives it as much strength and maneuverability as a plastic razor while minimizing the use of plastic by as much as 98%. The result? A razor that can be easily flat-packed and shipped, used and then disposed of… safely, of course.

SOAPBOTTLE is an elegant, waste-free product that does two things – it eliminates those pesky throwaway plastic bottles while giving you extra soap! Each SOAPBOTTLE comes in a slick, rectangular form factor with 100ml of liquid body wash on the inside. To ‘open’ the SOAPBOTTLE, all you need to do is shave the marked corner off and you can pour the liquid soap out the way you pour milk out of a carton. When the liquid runs out, the bottle itself can be used as a bar of soap all the way till it eventually disintegrates into nothingness, leaving absolutely no plastic waste behind. All that is left behind is the reusable metal clip that snaps onto the SOAPBOTTLE, allowing you to open and close it during use.
