A Nano Step Closer Toward Smaller Computers(2)Apr-12-11 Researchers have created a method of making complicated integrated circuits from extremely dense arrays of carbon nanotubes. As computer scientists continue to shrink silicon transistors, they will eventually reach the boundaries of their physical limits. The Stanford University researchers who developed the nanotechnology are using it to create complex circuits they hope will surpass the speed of silicon. Their new method, consisting of a gold layer between each layer of nanotubes, is able to create arrays with a density as high as 200 nanotubes per micrometer. ![]() More Info:[TECHNOLOGYREVIEW.COM][NEXT]
