The AmbiLED HD system takes advantage of the fact that although the human eye focuses on a very limited area, our visual field is actually much wider. The easy-to-install device features an adhesive LED strip that attaches to the back of the display monitor and connects to the USB port of the computer—eliminating the need for the flurry of cables required by typical ambient light systems. Up to 512 LEDs can be controlled with a single 3-pin connection, allowing the device to determine the nearest color on the screen and then emit a matching glow that seems to extend the image a bit beyond the screen..
