Amiigo Fitness Tracker Identifies Specific Activities

Amiigo Fitness Tracker Identifies Specific Activities
Aug-24-14
The Amiigo tracker stands out from the crowd of activity trackers with its ability to accurately identify the exercise being performed and relay valuable cardiovascular information to the user.

The Amiigo system is made up of two parts—a wristband and a shoe clip—that each track the user's motion. The wristband is also equipped with sensors able to measure the user's body temperature and blood oxygen saturation. After the wristband and shoe clip have been paired to a smartphone via Bluetooth, the device can be 'trained' to recognize specific exercises and automatically detect them without the user's intervention. The Amiigo can also keep track of cardiovascular performance, such as heart rate and breathing rate, and the workout data is sent to the cloud for processing. It is this cloud processing that provides a more accurate analysis of the workout data, and also lets individuals compare performance against other Amiigo users.
