Aquatabs Flo Dispense Chlorine to Reduce Illness

Aquatabs Flo Dispense Chlorine to Reduce Illness
Aug-13-19
The Aquatabs Flo automatic chlorine dispenser safely purifies water, reducing the instances of childhood diarrhea in developing countries.

The dispenser was developed by a team from Stanford University to suit the particular needs of developing and impoverished regions. Because people living in these areas tend to get their water from a single shared source, the Aquatabs Flo device is designed for community pumps, where it can be integrated into the reservoir at the point of entry and release a precise dose of chlorine automatically.

In tests where the system was installed, children drinking the treated water were shown to have 23 percent fewer instances of diarrhea than standard rates.
