Aware Earphones Deliver Sound and Promote Better Health

Aware Earphones Deliver Sound and Promote Better Health
May-28-16
The Aware custom-fit Bluetooth earphones go beyond simply delivering music to provide brain and biometric sensing along with great sound.

The Aware headphones are 3D printed to provide a custom fit, and are equipped with the same types of biometric fitness tracking sensors currently found in fitness bands. Besides delivering great sound, the Bluetooth enabled earphones feature a personalized fit, which also ensures the sensors make proper contact for accurate readings. As the Aware earphones monitor an array of data, including steps, calories burned, brainwaves and heart rate, the information is sent to paired smartphone for review.

According to the team, this additional awareness could help users become more mindful, less stressed, and have a better understanding of their sleep patterns.

The Aware biometric brain sensing headphone acts as an EEG (electroencephalogram) – reading your brainwaves and then spelling out exactly when you are stressed, relaxed, focused, and having trouble sleeping. The developers at United Sciences hope this enhanced awareness may help users increase focus, lower stress levels, understand their sleep patterns, and help guide them to be more mindful.
