Baselift Elevates Kitchen Surfaces

Baselift Elevates Kitchen Surfaces
Oct-13-15
Created to improve kitchen ergonomics, the Baselift unit will raise or lower a countertop to the optimum height for the individual users.

Conceived by Per Ploug and later developed by Sønderborg Køkkenet and Linak, the Baselift system features a series of specialized actuator units connected to a central control. Each actuator can lift 331 pounds, with six to eight being required to lift a standard unit, and the system can be retrofitted into existing units. Once in place, the actuators can raise or lower the counter surface by 10 centimeters at the press of a button.
