BattleView 360 Lets Soldiers See Through Tanks

Sep-17-15 The BattleView 360 system lets soldiers “see through” their armored vehicles in real time, providing a much clearer view of the terrain.

Created by BAE systems, the BattleView 360 system consists of cameras mounted on the exterior of the vehicle and a head mounted display that syncs to the exterior cameras. Using its digital mapping capabilities, the system is able to track the surrounding features of interest in 2D or 3D modes, making it easier to identify forces and determine the safest path. Soldiers can also access a head-down touch display, which allows commanders to view the displays of other team members.
