The Bimp Air bike tire pump features a compressed air system that is recharged by the spinning of the bike’s tire.
Developed by the Production Functional Factory of France, the Bimp Air was designed to replace the efficient, but non-reusable, compressed CO2 cartridges used by many riders. The Bimp Air system is made up of three units: a frame-mounted air canister, a small compressor and a hub-mounted generator that powers the compressor. As the rider bikes, the spinning generator fills the canister with compressed air in just minutes. The canister can then be easily disconnected from the bike to fill a tire in less than ten seconds.
