Biolamp Converts Smog to Fuel

Biolamp Converts Smog to Fuel
Jan-18-11
The Biolamp converts carbon-dioxide into fuel to power itself as well as create biofuel for eco-friendly cars.

Conceived by Hungarian designer Peter Horvath, the Biolamp uses a liquid, known as alga, which is mixed with water to transform CO2 into oxygen. The streetlamp uses a pump to suck the smog into the system, which then uses sunlight, CO2, and water to transform the alga into a biomass that can power the lamp. When the alga liquid is saturated with carbon-dioxide, the biomass delivered through underground tubes to be transformed into biofuel for electric cars.
