Blood Test for Brain Cancer

Blood Test for Brain Cancer
Oct-10-19
An AI-boosted blood test able to detect signs of brain cancer could offer an early life-saving diagnosis.

The test was created by a team from the University of Strathclyde, and relies on infrared light to produce a “bio-signature” of the blood that can then be analyzed by artificial intelligence. The patented technology has proven 87 percent accurate in a text on 104 patients, and could be particularly useful as a triage tool to determine which patients should be prioritized for a brain scan.
