Booster Brolly Blocks the Rains, Enhances Signals
Jun-17-12
The Booster Brolly from Vodaphone wil protect you from the sun and rain while also charging a mobile device and boosting its signal.

The Booster Brolly features 12 two-volt solar panels sewn into the canopy of the umbrella. The harnessed solar energy is stored in a hidden battery in the handle, which can be connected to a mobile device via USB, and any excess energy can be used to power the LED flashlight also contained within the handle. To help boost signal strengths from Vodaphone transmitters, the umbrella uses a combination low-power signal repeater and high-gain antenna to collect radio waves a create a "signal shower" over the user's head.

A prototype of the Booster Brolly is planned to be tested at the 2012 Isle Of Wight Festival.
