Bzigo Targets Mosquitoes for Easier Swatting

Bzigo Targets Mosquitoes for Easier Swatting
Jan-13-20
The Bzigo device provides targeted pest control by beaming a laser onto mosquitoes to make them easier to spot and swat.

The Bzigo system can differentiate a mosquito from other small airborne particles with the help of an onboard microprocessor and a set of specialized computer vision algorithms. Once the insect is detected in the room, a smartphone alert will trigger on a companion app. When the human is ready, the Bzigo will then target the mosquito when it quits moving by projecting a laser-box around it, making the insect much easier to swat.

The Bzigo is still in the prototype phase, with the current version able to identify and target a stationary mosquito up to 26 feet away.
