CalmSpace Capsule Encourages Power Naps

CalmSpace Capsule Encourages Power Naps
Nov-05-12
The CalmSpace capsule was designed to increase productivity by encouraging workers to take a nap.

Created by Marie-Virginie Berbet, the “plug and play” CalmSpace is made of a dark-grey composite with soundproofing foam to help shut out office bustle. It includes a single mattress, for stretching out, and pre-set lighting cycles and soundtracks designed to help the occupant fall asleep easily and wake up gently. The cycles can be set for 10, 15, or 20 minutes, allowing the user to slip into a quick power nap within a controlled environment.

The CalmSpace is available through the office furniture brand Haworth.
