Casio Mofrel 2.5D Texture Printer

Casio Mofrel 2.5D Texture Printer
Jan-16-18
The Mofrel 2.5D printer from Casio creates realistic textures on paper.

The Mofrel works by using near-infrared light to heat paper that has been coated with a micro-powder that expands when heated. The coating is applied by the printer during the printing process, and then removed for second printing that applies the realistic surface color. The textures for the printing are designed in Photoshop using the Mofrel Utility plug-in, which allows the creator to preview the final product.
