Cold Plasma Bandages Promote Healing without Drugs

Cold Plasma Bandages Promote Healing without Drugs
Jun-16-18
Reminiscent of Star Trek technology, the dermal regenerator from Coldplasmatech helps heal wounds with a plasma patch.

The cold plasma patches are made up of silicon that applies cold plasma—an ionized gas—to the wound. An external power supply attached to the patch triggers the oxygen and nitrogen in the air to convert to a bioactive, ionized gas that accelerates wound healing by activating cells while also quickly killing harmful bacteria. Although the patch can only be used on external wounds, the ability to kill bacteria without drugs could help reduce the spread of superbugs, and could be a game-changing therapy for people suffering from chronic wounds.

That sounds great, Stephen. Whatever kills the superbugs, right?
I’m not sure about the side effects after quickly googling these creams, but I’m not a pharmacist.
Since we are talking about desinfectants - do you happen to know the reduction rate for bacteria?
