Coros SafeSound Helmets Beat Bone Conduction

Coros SafeSound Helmets Beat Bone Conduction
Nov-25-18
The Coros SafeSound line of helmets channels sound to the wearer’s ears with its innovative Ear Opening Sound System.

While bone conduction has been a favorite way to deliver audio while also allowing environmental sounds through, the technology has some limitations. As an appealing alternative, the SafeSound helmets secure the speaker to the straps of the helmet, where the sound is directed to the ears without blocking them. To audio can be controlled via a handlebar-mounted remote, which can also trigger the helmet’s LED tail light. Along with its safer music delivery, the SafeSound helmets include sensors able to detect an impact and trigger an app alert to designated contacts.
