CTiX Checkpoint Scanner Lets Liquids Stay in the Bag

CTiX Checkpoint Scanner Lets Liquids Stay in the Bag
Aug-14-18
Airport security lines may soon move a bit faster thanks to the CTiX checkpoint scanner from Smiths Detection.

The CTiX scanner differs from standard X-ray scanners in its ability to scan the object at hundreds of slightly different angles to create 3D images. Because those images offer more detail than basic 2D images, the objects can be identified more readily—meaning objects like laptops and liquids can remain in the carry-on baggage during screening.

The CTiX has recently received TSA certification.
