The CycleNav Smart Bike Navigator pairs with a smartphone to deliver audible directions to the cyclist, letting the user keep their eyes on the road.
Developed by Schwinn, the device mounts on the handlebars and communicates with a smart phone via Bluetooth, providing turn-by-turn navigation. The CycleNav’s companion app offers bike-specific directions for anywhere in the US, and its speaker has been specifically designed to be heard over the sound of traffic without the rider needing to wear headphones. Directions can be repeated by pushing a convenient button on the device, and integrated flashers will provide a visual cue to an upcoming turn.
The CycleNav can also save the cyclist’s route and keep track of the number of calories burned, and the information can be easily shared on Facebook.
