Discreet Data Glasses

Discreet Data Glasses
Jun-02-15
The “small and discreet” data glasses from the team at Fraunhofer eschew the typical bulky frames in favor of a simpler, unobtrusive design.

The research team achieved the smaller size by replacing the typical single long optic with an array of smaller optics arranged alongside each other. According to the team, this allows the glasses to have the same results within a smaller structure. The new data glasses model also lets users see the information in context, such as next to the monument being observed, and can also compensate for far-sightedness—which makes the data easier to read by people who wear prescription glasss.
