The DisplayCover from Microsoft adds a second screen to a tablet via a unique e-ink interface.
The DisplayCover features a physical keyboard with a thinfilm e-ink display positioned above it, creating a sort of extended screen. The e-ink extension can display an array of apps and shortcuts, eliminating the need to touch the tablet screen, as well as display toolbar links while Photoshop is in use. And because the e-ink uses very little power, the effect on the battery life would be quite small.
