Drone-Netting Grenade

Drone-Netting Grenade
Feb-09-19
A drone-netting grenade can be launched by a single person to stop rogue drones in their tracks.

Created by US Army researchers, the 40-mm grenade contains a spring-loaded, weighted net that will eject from the front of the grenade when it nears the target. The net can be triggered to launch either remotely from a person on the ground or automatically via an onboard proximity sensor, and spins open to spread up to 30 feet diameter—trapping the drone and causing it to fall to the ground.
