Eco-Friendly, Better Soap

Eco-Friendly, Better Soap
Oct-27-16
A new “perfect soap molecule” made of biodegradable ingredients is not only eco-friendly, but also more effective than most conventional recipes.

In contrast to most mainstream soaps, which contain petroleum products, the soap developed by the team from the University of Minnesota is made up of natural products like corn, coconut and soybeans. The soap molecule, call Oleo-Furan-Surfactant (OFS), is not only better for the environment, it also works well in cold water, at low concentrations, and washes out easily even in hard water.

The University of Minnesota has patented the technology, and licensed it to Sironix Renewables.
