Eliport Autonomous Delivery Robots

Mar-19-18 The Eliport delivery robots will pick up and deliver their cargo with no need for human intervention.

Under development by the Barcelona company, the Eliport robots would automatically load their cargo at a central hub, then access GPS and 3D maps to deliver the package at a ‘trunk’ container pre-installed at the customer’s house. The four-wheeled bot would travel at walking speed, avoiding pedestrians and other obstacles on the sidewalk until reaching its destination, with a single battery charge allowing it to travel up to sixteen miles.
