Sep-26-14
Designed by an aerospace engineer, the Midnight Scoop takes the pain out of scooping frozen ice cream, and proves that even scientists enjoy sweets.

Dubbed the Midnight Scoop because of the late nights inventor Michael Chou spent designing the device, the scoop's key element is its curved handle that takes the stress off the wrist joint. This curve allows the user to hold their wrist straight and push the scoop into the ice cream with the large muscles of the chest and arms, which is much easier. The Midnight Scoop is also designed with a thinner leading edge, which allows it to dig into the ice cream; a longer handle so it can reach every last drop; and a curve at the base that creates an attractive "ice-cream-advertisement look."

The Midnight Scoop has already far exceeded its funding goal on Kickstarter.
