Evenflo Carseat Helps Prevent Forgotten Infants

Jul-26-15 In an effort to help reduce infant deaths due to heastroke, the Evenflo car seat was developed to help remind frazzled parents not to leave their baby alone in the car.

The seat, called the Evenflo Advanced SensorSafe Embrace DLX Infant Car Seat, is equipped with a ‘smart chest clip’ and a wireless transmitter that connect to a receiver. Automatically activated once the car starts moving, the sensor system will trigger the chest strap clip to sound an alarm once the car’s ignition is turned off. The sound was specifically designed to sound different than a cellphone or car noise, and should help the parent remember that they have an infant in the car.
