EyeSeeMed Lets Surgeons Access Data With Their Eyes

EyeSeeMed Lets Surgeons Access Data With Their Eyes
Nov-21-14
The EyeSeeMed takes hands-free technology even further by allowing surgeons to control data on the screen with their eyes.

While there are several systems that allow users to access data using hand gestures, the EyeSeeMed was created specifically for surgeons for use within the sterile environment. The system is equipped with remote cameras that identify where the eyes are looking—no special glasses are required. Specific buttons, such as those that call up the endoscope camera view, patient file or radiology images, can be controlled by looking directly at them for a few seconds, and the viewer can cycle through options with head tilts or voice commands.
