Flike Personal Tricopter Completes Maiden Flight Test

Flike Personal Tricopter Completes Maiden Flight Test
May-31-15
Harness your inner Luke Skywalker with the Flike, a tricopter that can be mounted and ridden like a bicycle.

Recently completing its first manned test flight, the Flike skytrike prototype was developed by a team from Bay Zoltan Nonprofit Ltd., in Hungary. The Flike is equipped with six individual rotors driven by individual electric disc motors, and can stay aloft for between 15 to 40 minutes. An onboard computer handles some of the craft’s flight management basics, which the team says makes the Flike as easy to ride as a bicycle.

Dangerous position for pilot. Pilot's position could be better seated underneath in a simple light frame - and the lower centre of gravity would add to stability of the craft.
