The Great North Air Ambulance Service is testing a new jetpack to allow paramedics to fly up a mountain for daring mountain rescues.
This jetpack would allow paramedics to travel up the mountain in 90 seconds rather than hike for 30 minutes, which can be imperative for time-critical situations like these. This could very well make a difference between life and death.
If this idea is approved, the flying paramedic will be equipped with a medical kit and a defibrillator in case of a heart attack.
