Folks Kitchen Tools Guide the Visually Impaired

Folks Kitchen Tools Guide the Visually Impaired
Sep-18-18
The Folks kitchenware accessories offer tactile cues to allow the visually impaired to work more independently in the kitchen.

Created by Kevin Chiam, the Folks kitchen tools are based on standard cooking utensils, providing additional tactile cues to allow the visually and physically impaired to prepare foods safely. The tools include a teaspoon with a float to prevent finger-liquid contact, a pot lid that doubles as a tool rest and steam locator, and a modular cutting board to make ingredient transfer easier.
