Forcite Alpine Helmet Takes Videos and Calls for Help

Forcite Alpine Helmet Takes Videos and Calls for Help
Jan-28-15
The Forcite Alpine helmet brings a new level of on-slope convenience to snow sports enthusiasts, and will also call for help in the event of a crash.

The helmet is equipped with a wide-angle, HD camera able to capture video up to 120 fps. And since skiing come with bumps, the captured video is smoothed a bit via the image stabilization system. The helmet also boasts OLED fog lights and a Bluetooth module that will communicate with the user's phone—letting them make or place a call or listen to music—as well as a WiFi system for short-range, on the slopes communications.

Perhaps most appealing is the Alpine's ability to detect a serious impact and transmit a beacon that identifies the wearer's GPS coordinates and altitude, saving precious time during rescue efforts.
