Fracture Putty Speeds Bone Healing(8)Feb-10-12 Researchers have developed a gel they are calling 'fracture putty,' able to speed the healing and regeneration of bones .The team from the University of Georgia created the gel by using the adult stem cells that create a protein that promotes bone healing. The stem cells were incorporated into a gel, which the researchers are calling 'fracture putty.' The putty was inserted into bone fractures in rats, which help them heal completely in less than two weeks.
