Go Bag Brings High-Tech to Disaster Kits

Go Bag Brings High-Tech to Disaster Kits
Sep-06-14
The Go Bag breathes new life into conventional 'disaster preparedness' bags with a few high-tech—and vital—new features.

A collaboration between the Rhode Island School of Design and the Yeadon Space Agency, the Go Bag is not intended to replace the usual items stored in disaster kits, such as vital documents, medicines and matches. Rather, it was created to offer a better means of storage for these items while also adding some essentials such as a water filtration kit, air filtration kit and a way to generate power for mobile devices. The bag is also waterproof and equipped with zero-power waterproof lighting—which allows it to protect the contents much better than conventional bags and makes it easier to locate and use.
