Green Your Cup Keeps Coffee Cups from Landfills

Green Your Cup Keeps Coffee Cups from Landfills
Jul-05-14
The Green Your Cup coffee cup is much easier to recycle than traditional takeaway coffee cups, which could significantly reduce the amount of waste created by these disposable caffeine delivery vessels.

Created by Martin Myerscough (inventor of the of the ‘cardboard’ bottle), the Green Your Cup mimics the look and feel of a regular takeaway coffee cup. The difference lies in the plastic coating, which is required in order to keep the liquid from seeping through the cardboard. Whereas regular coffee cups are laminated with plastic, which is difficult to remove and hinders recycling, the Green Your Cup's thin liner is designed to be easily stripped away—leaving behind the 100 percent paper product ready for recycling.
