iSwimband Helps Prevent Drownings

Jul-02-14 Designed for young swimmers, the iSwimband will trigger a smartphone alert if it is under the water for a dangerously long time.

The band can be worn as either a wristband or a headband, and is equipped with a sensor set to monitor how long the device is submerged. Its settings can be customized to suit the age of the swimmer, and the iOS app allows the supervising adult to monitor up to eight iSwimbands simultaneously. Alerts are sent via Bluetooth, with a range of up to 100 ft, and the alerts can also be sent to compatible speakers for greater volume.
