Jerry Can Water Filter

Nov-24-19 The Jerry Can Water Filter can fit into any standard Jerry can, where it will filter the water to remove up to 99.99 percent of bacteria and parasites.

Although there are other Jerry can filtration systems, most of them are integrated into the can. As a more portable and shareable option, former Delft student Olivier de Gruijter created a filter than can be installed in any standard Jerry can. The three-filter system was designed to be easy to clean—even by children—and requires no batteries, moving the water with the natural force of gravity. The Jerry filter also includes a handy tap, so the can and filter can be set on a counter to dispense fresh water, and can be manufactured for under $5 a piece.
