Jerry the Bear Makes Diabetes Bearable

Jerry the Bear Makes Diabetes Bearable
Jul-17-14
Developed for children with diabetes, Jerry the Bear makes it a bit easier for kids to deal with the daily regime of self-monitoring.

Jerry the Bear also has diabetes, which the developers hope will help children as they learn to cope with the requirements of having the disease. Jerry's 'sugar levels' can be checked by squeezing its paw, and the child can deliver insulin to the bear via a toy insulin pen and a touchscreen. The child can also learn good eating habits as they 'feed' Jerry different foods and learn how those foods affect the bear's blood glucose.

Jerry the Bear has already met its funding goal on Indiegogo.
