Lamp&Socket Combines Light and Power

Dec-25-13 The Lamp&Socket cleverly combines two kitchen necessities—extra lighting and a handy power source directly over a countertop.

Designed by Lotte Douwes as her graduation project, the Lamp&Socket was developed with kitchen islands in mind. The porcelain pendant lamp and matching socket hang from the ceiling to provide both lighting and power, and could also be useful in bars or restaurants that provide wireless internet but lack the space for outlets.
