Laser-Based, Non-Invasive Glucose Monitor

Laser-Based, Non-Invasive Glucose Monitor
Jul-20-15
The Glucosense non-invasive, laser-based blood glucose tester not only eliminates the need for daily needle pricks, but could also find its way into wearable devices.

The core of the device’s technology is a silica glass slide that has been nano-engineered to contain ions that will fluoresce with infrared light in response to a low-power laser. When the user places a finger on the glass slide, the reflected fluorescence will vary according to the amount of glucose in their blood. Results are available in less than 30 seconds.

Development team at Glucosense Diagnostics is currently working on further applications for the monitor, including the ability to send testing results to a smartphone and a wearable device that could provide constant monitoring.

Neat Product. No Strips. What stage are you for constant monitoring. Would be interested in being distributor in Canada.
Thank you
