Linx IAS Tracks Head Impacts in Real-Time

Linx IAS Tracks Head Impacts in Real-Time
Jan-14-15
An evolution of BlackBox's military grade blast sensors, the Linx IAS sensor straps to the head to deliver real-time feedback on possible concussion-causing impacts.

The thin, lightweight Linx IAS sensor looks a bit like a USB drive, and is meant to be slipped into either a headband or a skullcap and worn under the helmet. When a significant impact is detected, the sensor relays the information to a paired tablet or smartphone that can be accessed by a parent or coach. The Linx app system can monitor over one hundred individual players, tracking the number and severity of the impacts and recommending when a player should be pulled from the game.
