Magnetic Furniture Assembles Without Tools

Magnetic Furniture Assembles Without Tools
Dec-17-13
The MAG furniture line from Benjamin Vermeulen takes flatpack furniture one step further, replacing screws and other fastenings with magnets and eliminating the need for tools.

The line of MAG (Magnetic Assisted Geometry) furniture consists of a chair, table and cabinet made of steel and wood. Powerful, strategically placed magnets hold the furniture together, and the pieces can be disassembled and reassembles without losing their structural integrity.

Vermeulen designed the line for his graduation from the Design Academy Eindhoven.
