Mataerial Anti-Gravity 3D Printer

Mataerial Anti-Gravity 3D Printer
May-27-13
The Mataerial 3D printer was designed to operate in the anti-gravity conditions of space, and can create 3D objects on any working surface—regardless of slope or texture.

The Mataerial features a robotic arm equipped with a nozzle that extrudes a special, quick-drying polymer, which allows the printer to use a technique the developers call “Anti-Gravity Modelling.” The polymers harden in mid-air, and the movement capabilities of the robotic arm enable the device to create more natural curves and larger objects than is possible with conventional 3D printers.
