MediVest Predicts Seizures

MediVest Predicts Seizures
Mar-28-17
A pair of young scientists has created a vest able to alert the wearer to an imminent seizure.

The MediVest was developed by sixteen-year-old Sankha Kahagala-Gamage and David Bernstein, students at Loughborough Grammar School. Sensors embedded in the vest monitor the wearer to detect the signs that a seizure is soon to occur. If a seizure is imminent, the MediVest will send an alert to selected smartphones.
